International Students

How to Apply

The IMPA program is designed for university students with Bachelor’s degree. We welcome students from all majors and fields of study although students with backgrounds in agriculture and natural resource (forestry) emphasis are mostly suitable.

In addition, university students at their advanced undergraduate or graduate level seeking to increase their knowledge of the society of Taiwan and experience studying and living on the campus of a comprehensive university are invited to apply for exchange student for one semester or one academic year.

Application Process

1.  Online Application Form (Download from February 1)

2.  A photocopy of diploma from the highest educational institution completed (translated into English).

3.  Official transcript of academic records (translated into English) with grade point average (preferable on a 0-4 scale) from each institution attended.

4.  Two letters of recommendation.

5.  A one-page study plan, written in English.

6.  One-page autobiography within 300~500 words or curriculum vitae, written in English.

7.  A bank statement indicating sufficient funds for staying in Taiwan. It is also required to be certified by Taiwan Embassy/Representative Office.

8.   Copy of the personal information on your passport.

9.   Telephone interview agreement. (Download from February 1)

10.  Consent form for uncertified diploma and transcript. (Download from February 1)

11.  Copy of TOEFL, GRE, GMAT records or other proofs of your English ability.

*NOTE: IMPA requires a currently valid score report of ANY international English-language proficiency test such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC.


Review and Admission Process

Once we receive your completed online and paper application, we will send you an email confirmation that your application is being forwarded for review.

The review of applications will begin on mid-April. Due to the limited number of applicants that will be accepted to this program, we strongly encourage you to apply by the deadline of March 31 to avoid disappointment. No applications will be accepted after the end of March.

Once you are accepted to the IMPA program, you will receive a letter of admission via email and regular mail through post office from our Office of International Affairs of the University. You will also be contacted by the tentatively-designated IMPA supervisor advising regarding the process of preparatory work before you come to Taiwan.
