汪俊延博士於1997年獲材料工程博士學位;在從事兩年半的博士後研究之後,於2002年任教於中興大學材料工程系。他的研究興趣著重在材料環保製程之研究與開發。以無毒、無磷、無重金屬、不釋放溫室氣體的前提下,思考新材料與新製程之開發與研究。此外,對於可能造成環境危害之金屬(目前鎖定三五族半導體之Ga元素),對結構材料機械性質、晶界化學成分影響亦是目前重要研究課題。另一方面,汪博士對於材料物理冶金性質之基礎研究一直保持濃厚的興趣;基礎研究之結果有利於解決材料目前的實際問題。
Professor Uan started his career in the Department of Material Science and Engineering of the National Chung Hsing University in 2002, succeeding a Ph.D. of Material Science and Engineering in 1997 and two and half years of postdoctoral research. He has conducted researches mainly focused on the development of the process of the "green" materials. New materials and processes are developed under such conditions that they are free of toxin, phosphorus, heavy metals and greenhouse gases. Another important subject is the research on the effect of the potential environmental endangering metals has on the mechanical properties and boundary chemical compositions of structural materials, presently working on the group IIIB semiconductor Ga. On the other hand, Dr. Uan is always interested in the elemental research of the physical metallurgy properties of materials, since these are the basis to the solution of practical problems of present materials.
