研究興趣與方向

中興大學都市昆蟲學研究室致力於解決台灣普遍性的都市害蟲問題,我們進行基礎與應用性研究,希望能提供新知與系統性知識給民眾、蟲害防治業者與政府機構,協助落實都市害蟲管理、促進新技術的研發以及擬定害蟲管理規範。我們近期的研究著重在台灣的白蟻生物學與防治上,進行分類學、親緣地理學、行為學、生態學以及保育生物學方面的研究,目前我們正在進行三個研究主題:一、台灣白蟻的分類研究;二、穿山甲食物中的白蟻多樣性;三、白蟻在都市建築、古蹟、都市綠地、森林與檢疫上的管理。本研究室竭誠歡迎對都市昆蟲學與白蟻生物學感興趣的台灣學生與國際學生加入。

 

Research Interests

The Laboratory of Urban Entomology of NCHU devotes to solving daily urban pest problem in Taiwan.  We conduct basic and applied researches to improve pest control implementation, technical innovation, and legislative action.  We provide new and synthetic knowledge to serve the public, industry and governmental agency.  Our recent studies focus on the termite biology and control in Taiwan. The research fields include phylogeography, taxonomy, behavior, ecology, and wild life conservation.  Our ongoing projects include: 1) taxonomy of Taiwanese termites; 2); termite diversity as the food of pangolin; 3) termite management on construction, historical building, urban landscaping, forest, and quarantine inspection. We welcome international and domestic students interested in urban entomology, especially termite biology, to join us.
