Hi, there, I am Yao-Chung Fan. I am an associate professor at Department of Computer Science, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan


I received the PhD degree in computer science from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, where I was a member of the Multimedia and Knowledge Engineering Laboratory, working on query processing and query optimization over sensor data streams. My PhD dissertation received the 2011 Taiwan Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Doctoral Dissertation Award. I received the Taiwan National Science Council Award for visiting the Pennsylvania State University, where I was hosted as a Visiting Scholar of the Pervasive Data Access (PDA) Research Group in 2010. My current research interests including natural language processing, social data management, and text mining. You can also check my research group at NLP Lab @ NCHU

我們實驗室主要於資料庫查詢處理與資料探勘技術領域進行研究;各種不同資訊平台及其應用所產生的資料,帶著不同的資料屬性與不同的環境應用需求,也產生多樣化的研究議題,持續地推進資料工程(Data Engineering)研究領域向前發展。而這樣的發展也伴隨資訊技術的更貼近日常生活而有著持續加快的趨勢。

本實驗室主要於資料庫查詢處理與資料探勘技術領域進行研究;我們以資料工程技術為出發點,考慮各式不一樣應用環境中,所產生的資料進行該類型資料之查詢處理與探勘。而就近期研究規劃目標而言,我們著眼於利用深度學習技術於文字資料探勘與自然語言處理(Text Mining and Natural Language Processing)之研究,目前實驗室研究成員之研究主題著重於機器閱讀理解(Machine Reading Comprehension)與自然語言生成(Natural Language Generation)兩面向。
